I’m also a bit late (one day!), but HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MOM OF MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE!!! I sure hope you had a wonderful day yesterday. If you had a site for me to link to, I’d surely do it.
So this past Thanksgiving the three of us went to North Carolina and saw lots of family, including my beautiful wife’s grandmother, who thankfully was able to meet her great granddaughter then. Today we are celebrating that she has left us to go and be with Jesus. The angst of separation is certainly difficult, but we’re so thankful for the knowledge that she is with Jesus.
So I just finished upgrading my blog from version 2.0.11 to the latest and greatest. I had previously been hesitant to do the upgrade, as I didn’t want to screw things up, especially with plug-ins that might stop working.
Just about everything seems to be working fine. I had only a couple of issues:
With the FAlbum plugin (which displays all of my photos), I had to change the Flickr API key from the one provided with the plugin back to my own API key. Without that, my photos page was blank.
I had to deactivate the WP-Email plugin. When you clicked on the link for the email, it broke stuff. If you need to email a post to someone, click on the Share This link instead.
WordPress also changed the way it does blogrolls/bookmarks, so I did have to modify my theme to use the new way.
